Zero Data Collection Policy

Specifically, we do NOT collect:

Account Information: No user accounts, login credentials, or authentication data
Usage Data: No analytics, telemetry, usage statistics, crash reports, or behavioral data
Device Information: No device identifiers, hardware specifications, IP addresses, or system information
File Content: No access to, copying of, or transmission of your files or their contents

4. How the Software Operates

4.1 Local Processing Only

All operations performed by Questract occur entirely on your local macOS device:

File scanning, filtering, and organization are performed locally
All data processing occurs within your device's memory and storage
No data is transmitted to external servers or third parties
The Software does not require an internet connection to function

4.2 File System Access

To perform its intended function, Questract requires access to your macOS file system. This access is:

User-Controlled: You explicitly grant access through macOS permission dialogs
Scope-Limited: Access is limited to directories and files you specifically designate
Operation-Specific: Access is used solely for the archive operations you initiate
Revocable: You can revoke file access permissions at any time through macOS System Preferences
Non-Transmitted: Files and file information never leave your local device

4.3 Local Log Files

Questract generates log files stored locally on your device. These logs:

Contain only operational information about archive tasks you perform (file paths, operation status, timestamps)
Are stored exclusively on your local device in standard macOS application support directories
Are never transmitted to 5N6 LTD, Apple, or any third party
Can be deleted by you at any time by removing the Application or clearing Application Support data
Do not contain any personal information beyond what you include in your file paths

5. Third-Party Services and Integrations

5.1 No Third-Party Data Sharing

Questract does not integrate with, transmit data to, or share information with any third-party services, including:

Analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Mixpanel)
Crash reporting services (e.g., Crashlytics, Sentry)
Advertising networks
Social media platforms
Cloud storage services
Customer relationship management (CRM) systems
Any other external services or APIs

5.2 Apple Mac App Store

Questract is distributed through the Apple Mac App Store. Apple may collect information in accordance with their own privacy policy when you:

You have the right to receive your personal data in a structured format. Since we do not collect personal data, there is no data to port.
